Speaking with Dr. Guy Riekeman, President of Life University – the world’s largest Chiropractic College, docMIKE Tetrault proposed that an educational think tank be formed to assist poorer countries with their desire to have a Chiropractic College of their own. Until this Consortium of experts is convened to take a serious look at the challenges of starting up new schools in poorer countries, we will see much of the random results we see today in new school start-ups.
This project is called the “Green House Project“ and it is intended to recruit individuals who have the educational and organizational background to create and support a consortium of institutions, organizations and individuals, able and capable of contributing to the development of and the willingness to accept faculty assignments in a foreign country to help start chiropractic colleges in as many growing countries as possible.
The discussion mentioned a few of the players that have already been party to the successful start-up of a few chiropractic schools abroad who will be invited . They are:
- Life University
- Palmer Chiropractic College
- Life Chiropractic College West
- Sherman Chiropractic College
- Parker Chiropractic College
- and the Chiropractic Diplomatic Corps
Past and current chiropractic college Presidents and past Presidents of the World Federation of Chiropractors, seasoned and well traveled educators as well will be the focus of this Consortium. The “Gathering” is to be scheduled for a date in 2015, yet to be determined. In the meantime, in preparation to meet the costs associated with travel and accommodations, the Chiropractic Diplomatic Corps is raising funds through an online program that displays this VIDEO about the Green House Project.
Chiropractically yours,
docMIKE
