Mr. & Ms. Posture International Launch
Five months ago in 2023, we crowned the second Mr. & Ms. Posture Philippines. The decision was subsequently made to open up the pageant Internationally. Five months later, the Chiropractic Diplomatic Corps is launching Mr. & Ms. Posture International on World Spine Day this October 16, 2023. This is the beginning of an expanded plan to bring attention to the disparity of available chiropractors in the world with only 100,000 in all to serve 8 Billion human spines. The solution is to develop 50 more chiropractic colleges over the next 25 years. Yes, you read that right, 50 more chiropractic colleges over the next 25 years, and use the Posture Pageant PR and popularity and media attention by millions of fans in dozens of countries as a student recruitment activity, once local colleges are teaching chiropractic.
In the 20th Century, some 79 Chiropractic schools and colleges were formed, and by the year 2000, there were only 25 of them remaining. Sadly, these 25 are all located in wealthier nations adding to the disparity of available chiropractors in developing countries. The good news is that there are now 25 more new chiropractic colleges to replace them and now totaling 52 in all; yet only 12 of these new colleges are outside of wealthier nations. Moving forward on this momentum, it is proposed that we push for 50 more institutions teaching chiropractic within the next 25 years. Some will form organically from years of preparations, while the larger majority will require a lot of effort by dedicated actors coming from different resources focusing on countries with a lower GDP. The end result will create the potential to see a 200,000 to 300,000 global census of chiropractors by the end of the 21st Century.
Currently, the Chiropractic Diplomatic Corps is engaged in facilitating universities in the Philippines, India, and the UAE to establish their own chiropractic College.
Mr. & Ms. Posture International (MMPI) is intended to serve in an ambassador capacity as one of the catalysts that bring this important mission into a central purpose. A feature of the Philosophy of Chiropractic is the strong inclusion of teaching people to grow in their knowledge of natural health lifestyles, focusing on greater health and longevity. The MMPI advocates our candidates and people in general to “Think, Eat, Move and Stand right.” Wellness and lifestyle transformation are not exclusive to Chiropractic, but the formal 3 to 4 years of post-graduate university training make the Chiropractor one of the most highly trained physicians who actually focus daily on improving healthy lives holistically.
